Home Remedies to get rid of Unwanted Facial Hair



1.Sugar And Lemon

You need

  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 8-9 tbsp water

How to use

  • Mix sugar, lemon juice, and water in a bowl.
  • Heat it for a few minutes.
  • Let it cool down.
  • Apply this on your face in the direction of hair growth.
  • Keep this for 20 minutes.
  • Now wash it off with cool water by rubbing it in the circular motion.

Frequency

Use this three times a week.

Why?

Sugar acts as an exfoliator. In ancient times, sugar is used for removing unwanted facial hair. It is slightly warm so it not give much discomfort unless waxing and remove the hair.

2.Lemon And Honey

You need

  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • Water

How to use

  • Add all the ingredients in a bowl.
  • Heat it up for a few minutes.
  • Now apply this to the affected area and place a piece of cloth.
  • Pull the cloth in the opposite direction of hair growth.
  • After that wash your face and apply moisturizer.

You need

  • 2 tbsp oatmeal
  • 1 ripe mashed banana

  • Blend the oatmeal and banana.

  • Wash off with cool water.

4.Oatmeal, Honey, and Lemon Juice

You need

  •  ½ tsp coarsely grounded oatmeal
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • ½ tsp lemon juice

How to use

  • Blend oatmeal, honey, and lemon juice to get a paste.
  • Apply this paste on your face.
  • Keep it for 15-20 minutes.
  • Now gently rub it for 5 minutes in the opposite direction of hair growth.
  • Wash it off with tap water.

Frequency

Use this twice a week.

Why?

Oatmeal soothes the skin and removes any dead cells. Honey soothes the dry skin and lemon acts as a bleaching agent which improves the color of your skin.

5.Turmeric and Rose Water

You need

  • 1-2 tsp of turmeric
  • Rosewater

How to use

  • Soak the turmeric in the rosewater overnight.
  • In the morning blend it and make a paste.
  • Apply this paste on the face and leave it for 15-20 minutes.
  • Wash it off with plain water.

Frequency

Use this on alternate days.

6.Lentil and Potato

You need

  • Yellow lentil soaked in water overnight
  • 1 potato
  • Lemon juice 1 tbsp
  • 1 tsp honey

  • Peel the skin of the potato and mash it.
  • Extract the juice from the mashed potato.
  • Drain the water of lentil and blend it to get a smooth paste.
  • Mix the juice of potato and remaining ingredients.
  • Blend them nicely.
  • Apply this paste on the face for 15-20 minutes.
  • Start rubbing your fingers over the dried paste to remove it.
  • Wash your face with cool water.

Frequency

Do this twice a week.

Why?

The high amount of catecholase in potatoes lighten the skin color. Lentil mixed with potato removes the unwanted facial hair gently and also lighten the skin tone.

7.Cornstarch and Egg White 

You need

  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • Sugar 1 tbsp

How to use

  • Separate the egg white from the yolk.
  • Now add cornstarch and sugar in it.
  • Whisk it until it forms into a smooth paste.
  • Apply this paste on the affected area.
  • Leave it for 20-25 minutes.
  • Once it dries peel it off.

Frequency

Use this remedy once a week.

Why?

Egg whites are the perfect way to remove facial hair. It is sticky and then they film a thin layer on the face. When dry they rip off the facial hair and then you see your facial hair going. Cornstarch gives it smooth consistency to make the paste.



8. Alum and Rose Water

You need

  • ½ tsp of alum powder
  • 1-2 tbsp of rose water
  • Few drops of olive oil

How to use

  • Add rose water to the alum powder.
  • Make a paste and dip a cotton ball in it.
  • Apply it on the affected area.
  • Let it dry and reapply another coat of it.
  • Do this 4-5 times.
  • After that wash your face and moisturize it by applying oil.

Use this once a week.

Alum has been used traditionally by Asian women to inhibit hair growth. It works wonders for removing hair without any pain and irritation.

9.Papaya and Turmeric

You need

  • 2 tbsp raw papaya paste
  • ½ tsp turmeric

How to use

  • Mix raw papaya paste with turmeric and make a smooth paste.
  • Apply this paste on face and leave it for 15-20 minutes.
  • Wash it off with cool water.

Frequency

Use this at least 2 to 3 times a week for best results.

10.Papaya and Aloe Vera

You need 

  • 1 tbsp papaya paste
  • 2-3 tbsp aloe vera gel
  • 1 tbsp mustard oil
  • ½ tsp gram flour

How to use

  • Mix papaya paste, aloe vera gel, turmeric, mustard oil and gram flour in a bowl.
  • Make it a paste.
  • Apply this to the area where you want to remove the hair.
  • Let it for there for 15-20 minutes.
  • Take a clean cloth and start rubbing it in the opposite direction.
  • Wash your face and moisturize it.

Use this twice a week.

Why?

As mention earlier papaya has papain enzymes that make facial hair fall out. The aloe vera gel makes skin soft and smooth and soothes the irritation if any.

11. Indian Nettle and Turmeric

You need

  • A handful of Indian nettle leaves
  • ½ tsp turmeric

How to use

  • Wash the nettle leaves and grind them to make a paste.

  • Let it sit for a couple of hours.

16.Orange and Lemon Peel with Oatmeal 

You need

  • 1 tbsp powdered orange peel

  • Oatmeal powder 1 tsp
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  •  Rosewater 1 tsp

How to use

  • Mix all the powders in a bowl.
  • Add olive oil and rose water to make a smooth paste.

  • 1 tbsp unflavoured gelatine
  • 2-3 tbsp milk
